About
I’m Kevin Welsh, an art director and designer with a background in printmaking. I build brands, visual systems, and campaigns across digital and print. I like finding the structure behind an idea and turning it into something clear, cohesive, and built to work.

I came to design through printmaking, learning typography on an old letterpress, my fingers dusted with lead as I searched through drawers for the right type and size. Printmaking taught me so much about design, structure, and detail. If you make a mistake in printmaking, you can’t just undo it — you usually have to start over. That taught me to experiment more intentionally, avoid wasting time, and check twice before cutting once.
I’m always learning and building, and I love discovering new tools and finding the most effective ways to work. Learning and change feel like constants in my life; I’m always looking to improve and grow, and that mindset has shaped my design work. In design, there’s always room for improvement and change.

Away from the screen, you’ll usually find me near the ocean. I grew up in the water, from competitive swimming to surfing, and my parents could hardly get me out of it. Being in and around the ocean has always been a big part of my life.
These days, I’m happiest chasing waves, heading out on an adventure with my wife and our rescue pup, or spending time by the water. The ocean keeps me active, clears my head, and is where I feel most at home.
